Need help setting things up? Feel free to contact Chipheads Computer Repair, we would be happy to assist with any of your needs.
Skype
Skype allows users to create a free account and send messages, pictures and even video to other users. You can also call people without Skype accounts, however, this costs a fee.
Google Hangouts
Most people these days are already using Google/Gmail, with Google Hangouts, you can use your existing Google account to send messages and video chat with other users. Google Hangouts is limited to 10 people per session, however, that should be enough to connect with some friends or family for a bit.
Facebook Video
Facebook is another platform that many people already use, with Facebook you can send messages, join group chats and even have video calls with other users.
Zoom
Zoom was previously used mostly for business conference calls, however, since the pandemic began, it has quickly become a useful tool for families and friends as well. Zoom does have a 40 minute limit for those using free accounts.
Netflix Party
Interested in watching a show or movie with your family or friends? With a Netflix Party you can chat and watch things together with other users. This requires a Google Chrome plugin to work, however, it can be lots of fun for everyone.
