I had an old IDE hard drive that failed. It contained files I had not had a chance to back up. They were able to capture the files on the failed hard drive and then also placed them back onto a new hard drive that I had purchased some time back. Regretfully, they also had to re-install Windows, so I lost a number of programs that needed to be re-installed (I did not bring the disks, so I did this at home)

Prompt, professional and effective. They were able to arrange a “house call” within a day of me calling. Arrived exactly on time. He was pleasant and professional and didn’t make me feel computer illiterate at all. I had acquired a “worm” that was taking over my hard drive. I needed to switch from an i-Mac to a laptop with skype and to have the Ooma internet phone system installed. These may sound like easy things to do–but I am 69 years old and an imbecile in computer setups. I also wanted the installation completed before a 2-week trip. It was only 4 days before my trip when I called Chipheads, and they said: no problem. They thought they could complete the project within an hour, and they said they might also be able to save the bookmarks from my i-Mac. They did both 2 days later, my new computer, the Skype and the Ooma phone system are running perfectly, thanks also to their follow-up phone help, and I highly recommend Chipheads. - Margarit W.
Just a quick note to tell you that I am thrilled after having Mark out to the house to help us with our laptop.
My first phone call was a great experience talking to Justin but when Mark arrived I knew I was dealing with the right company. What a true professional… knowledgable, personable and professional all in one. As a mom of 3, a husband who got a 50% pay cut and the timing of the holidays it was hard to want to spend the money to get help for our computer problem. However, my experience was loaded with value and I wrote the check feeling as though I got so much more than a fixed computer. What I received was an experience that I feel good about – knowing that I was told what to do in the future to avoid this problem, a resource to call should I need any other assistance and a person who fixes computers who can have a conversation!!! That is meant to be funny! :)

I just wanted to go on record to say that the integrity and quality of service provided to me by your company was absolutely unbelievable.
I had an unexpected hard drive failure with one of our office computers which had important business related files. I had brought the computer to two other local computer repair shops and was given the same prognosis; “ There is no way to retrieve your data, we have tried numerous techniques and all failed; you are going to have to have the data recovered in a ‘clean room’ environment and it will cost you approximately $1,600.00”.
Luckily I had asked one of the tech’s at the second computer repair house if he might have any suggestions for me, I was feeling pretty desperate by then. As luck would have it he suggested I might try “Chip Heads” as a last resort. When I brought the unit in I was impressed with the atmosphere of the shop; very clean, the tech work area is visible and organized, you immediately get the feeling that it is a professional environment.
Not only did you guys accomplish what two other computer repair shops couldn’t’t; your integrity completely shined through when I was told what the bill was. ($99)

Chipheads has made getting on the internet quicker. Now, it takes a few minutes. (We have dial up.) Before using Chipheads, it had gotten to the point that it was taking about 15 minutes to get on the internet. Toward the end, we couldn’t get on at all. Chipheads changed all of that. - David G.
Attempting to boot up I got the blue screen of death. Because I do a lot of work from home, I was concerned about the turnaround time. Chipheads told me they were about 4-5 business days out, so I brought it in and also brought along my iPod, which I’d been having trouble getting to work with my PC. They called me in 2 1/2 days, said the hard drive was bad, I approved the replacement, and it was ready the same day. They were professional and made a point of telling me to call if there were any problems. I would definitely use them again. -L.K
They tested my mouse and found nothing wrong with it so they told me what to do from home. That fixed it. They didn’t charge anything! They are very customer oriented. - Shelly N.
They found that it was simply a video card that had been fried. It’s working great now and we are VERY pleased with the service we received. Another company would not even TAKE the computer to fix it (we have no idea why) and they wasted our time twice. Definitely going to use Chipheads in the future. We had a particularly nasty virus attack our home computer that had rendered it all but in operable. I had called a few vendors but had difficulty getting any one to come to me in a time frame that was suitable for my needs (Geek S*** couldn’t get me in for a week and a half). I came across Chipheads on Angie’s and they were willing to come out on MLK day which was fortunate because I had the day off. rather than book a time frame (8-12) they actually booked an exact time appointment which was nice and they were here within 5 minutes of the appointed time. It took Griffin short order to identify the problem and within an hour the virus was cleaned out, my current antivirus software was replaced and he made a suggestion to speed up my computer (my hard drive had become compressed and we were able to reverse that situation). I was very happy with the work and appreciated the promptness. They also suggested that I call to check out any situations I ran into with respect to my machine. It would seem Chipheads is looking to build relationships not just fix problems and I know that is what I look for in a good service company. - Randall D.
